Marcus Same Ol G Green has loved music since he started playing drums at the age of 8.  He and his twin brother, Michael, were born in Quincy, FL to Bishop Willie C. Green and First Lady Diane Green.  Marcus studied rap and hip hop artists like TuPac, Jay-Z, Rakim and T.I.  After serving 7 years in the United States Army, he moved to Montgomery, AL.  His continued passion for music eventually opened a door into the music industry.

It happened at a Christmas party, where Same Ol G was free-styling with family and friends.  A friend of the family, who happened to be a hot producer, overheard him.  Same Ol G was invited to his studio for a session.

Marcus, aka Same Ol G helped other artists to reach their full potential.  In 2010, he created G Muzik Entertainment. The recording label was founded to promote original music that stands out from the blueprint used by most artists today.  Same Ol G worked with up and coming artists who  shared his passion and vision.

Marcus “Same Ol G” Green was frequently play-listed on Jamsphere Rock Radio.  His singles “I Wanna Know” featuring Rosco Fetticini, “Drive You Insane” and “Code Green” were in on-air radio rotation.

In August 2013, Marcus gave his life to Christ. Not long after that, God called him to preach the gospel. He gave his first sermon in March 2014 and continues to preach the gospel to this day.

Same Ol G initially gave up doing rap music after his transformation.  One day God spoke to him and said He wanted Same Ol G to use his gift to help reach the generation of today. Instead of writing his own lyrics, Same Ol G received his lyrics straight from God.

Marcus “Same Ol G” Green was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God In Christ in August 2016.  He also serves as jurisdictional youth president of the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Florida Northwest COGIC.   Same Ol G” preaches and performs his gospel rap at different youth events throughout the country.
